Sheffield Park and Garden

This is a fabulous place to take the children, there is so much to see, making it an excellent place for a family afternoon walk.

The flowers were blooming, we were mesmerised by the colours sand it’s features.  There were so many shades of pink and purple surrounding the pond.  Each turn we took was exciting making us go wow.

About the property: The First Earl of Sheffield, John Baker Holroyd bought
Sheffield Park in 1769, and was set on remodelling the Property in the latest fashionable style. The Earl brought in architect James Wyatt to design the house, and Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown to work on the garden. During the Second World War the property was requestioned by the war office to act as camp for the Canadian Regiment
