This is restaurant is situated in the Grand Place and it is a wonderful restaurant. You have a fantastic view of the Grand Place but we were also intrigue by the interesting interior. It had a medieval feel with hanging jester and a beautiful carved staircase.
What did we try-
Scampis with garlic: fragrant with garlic and cooked in hot oil this made it one of our favourites. Prawns were succulant and tender best eaten when it is still hot.
Traditional chicken vol au vent: to be honest I had no idea what this was. It is chicken and muchroom in lovely rich creamy sauce with a small puff pastry cup, this dish was served with crispy chips
Mussels in white wine sauce: I loved the mussels in white wine sauce and again served with crispy chips
Roy d’Espagne waffle served with ice cream: this is the best waffle ever, freshly made where it is crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. The hot waffle served with ice cream is a lovely combination.
The portions were very large, and the waffle was so good we managed to finish it despite being so full.
