Chartwell

This is a wonderful place to visit.  Learning about one of the history’s famous politician, who made an impact on the second world war is interesting but looking at his home was amazing. A different side from the cigar and hard persona he had developed.

Aside from the history we also really enjoyed the garden, we went when it was in full bloom. There were amazing colours in the gardens. It was certainly fun for my daughter to run around in.

About the Property: Chartwell was the home of Winston and Clementine Churchill and sold to a group of businessmen for £50,000 because the Churchills found the upkeep very expensive. The group of businessmen offered it to the national trust on the condition that Winston and Clementine Churchill can stay there for as long as they wish.
