Turtle Bay

My friend recommended this restaurant and I was quite excited to try it.  We decided to share Okra (ladies’ fingers) and Crispy Whitebait.  The okra was covered in a spiced panko coating served with mango mole, fresh lime & coriander mayo.  This tasted quite exotic, I was never keen on okra but I found myself quite liking the dish.  The whitebait was covered in spiced panko coating and served with fresh lime and coriander mayo.  I really like the smokey seasoning and the whitebait was very crispy.

For my main I had the Slow Braised Beef Ribs which was marinated beef ribs, slow cooked & jerk pit grilled, with sweet onion chutney & green seasoning. Served with sweet potato fries, fresh watermelon, lime & coriander chow salad, with a coconut jerk glaze.  I loved it, the beef was tender and simply fell of the bone, the sauce was a little rich with a mild kick.  The watermelon, lime & coriander chow salad was refreshing and complimented the dish.  The sweet potato fries were season and very crisp. I thoroughly enjoyed it

My daughter tried the Flatbread from the kids menu.  Her Flatbread was topped with cheese & tomatoes, served with fresh salad.  She loved her salad and started with that before working through her flatbread.  The portion was generous and in the end her dad polished it off
