Basildon Park

It took us a while to meander to the property on a really hot day.  We had a lovely picnic under the shade, in a distance we could watch the cows as we ate.

There is a great contrast between the inside and outside the property, the rooms are beautifully decorated. One in particular was filled with lots of  shells and the furniture was also decorated in shells

About the property: The house at Basildon Park was restored by lord and lady Iliffe converting into their family home.  The purchase was made when it de-requisitioned after the Second World War
